ABOUT THE POET

William Wordsworth was an English Romantic poet who had helped to launch the Romantic Age in English Literature. He was born in Cockermouth, U.K., on 7^th April 1770.

He took his last breathe on 23^rd April 1850, at Rydal Mount and Gardens, U.K.

He married Mary Hutchinson and had three children, named Dora, Catherine Wordsworth, and Anne Caroline Wordsworth.

He was one of the founders of English Romanticism and is always remembered as a spirituality port and also a poet with epistemological speculation. Wordsworth’s first poetic study began when he was a kid in grammar school. William Wordsworth is always best known for his ‘Lyrical Ballads’, ‘The Prelude’, and many more.

STRUCTURE:

This poem, “My Heart Leaps Up”, has a very unique structure given by the poet. At the end of the line five, it has enjambment and it suddenly breaks the analogous pattern of the forgoing 3 times from the line 3^rd to 5^th. This poem also Has an iambic tetrameter at the very beginning of the poem that is at the first line of the poem,

My heart leaps up when I behold ;

This poem also has a different rhythmic structure throughout the poem. It consists of rhythms at the end of the line -1^st and 5^th; 2^nd and 6^th ; 3^rd, 4^th and 7^th .
